2007 Research Computing Workshop

The UW-Madison campus hosted this first-of-its-kind workshop on April 11, 2007 at Lowell Hall and the Pyle Center.
The workshop featured Daniel Atkins, Director of the Office of Cyberinfrastructure for the National Science Foundation, and Clifford A.
Lynch, Executive Director of the Coalition for Networked Information.
It was designed to bring together researchers from all fields to address
research computing, networking, data storage and other needs for
the campus. Several breakout sessions were also be offered and led
by Madison campus experts. Demos of shared technology ideas and
resources were offered in a poster session.
This workshop was co-sponsored by the UW Library, the Division of Information Technology (DoIT) and the Graduate School.
